When carrying a heavy burden
in life as you go through.
Wouldn’t it be nice of me
to carry half that load for you?
When half your burden is lifted
from your shoulders onto mine,
you can walk a little easier
relax and take your time.
Unload some of your problems
Talk about them with a friend,
No need to carry on alone
until your shoulders bend.
Now that I have, half your load
here is what you do.
Find someone with a heavy burden
and take half of it with you.
If the circle is never broken
as the burdens in life are lived
each one of us passing through
Will have only half a load to give.
again, I love the sentiment...I have a handful of people whom I call friend!
