Fee’s Halloween Bash

Just got my invitation today

 to come to Fee’s bash

Want to check the time

don’t want to be the last

Chuckling as I get my costume

from the attic in the black case

A tall black hat with half moons

cats running around as if to chase

In tissue wrapped so carefully

the long black gown of lace

There are some cosmetics there

to spread across my face

In another plastic bag I find

a long black wig all straggly and dull

To make my costume quite scary

when I go to Fee’s ball

I’ll take along my broom

that I will pretend to ride

Cackling merrily to myself

 I’ll hold on to it with pride

A long crooked nose

 a wart sticking up

will add to this allusion

of Halloween pretend

I’ve found some old boots

lying by the attic door

Frayed, high and ugly

just what I was looking for

The costume is all ready

 a smile spreads across my face

only a few more days to go

I can hardly wait
