The sun has set upon our make believe friendship
You never really took a chance to know me and now I have parted
The indications are strong that I will never return
For there is a whisper in the air of your promises unkept
The untruths heaved-up, hung loaded over any beliefs
Your unwritten words scattered and never reached me
I would never have the chance to see or read them
Yet I was willing to lay down my emotions - they are now silent
I can no longer read your thoughts, nor see your light
They have both been shattered by your silence, now too heavy to bear
Would never lift my soul - destiny has chosen a different course
No chance for love - the unknown will keep it secret
No memories of blissful moments to remember
No voice to listen to to take away my fears
No images of you to hold dear
No feelings to cherish - all my thoughts silenced in the wind
And now I must say goodbye to you
My thoughts of you now fragile
Love flits unseen - its mourning to eventually cease
Never forget how much I thought of you...

The deep, profound expressions of having loved, been loved and then lost almost in the blink of an eye. This breaks the heart and saddens the soul, but very well written...
