I viewed crepuscular rays
Near paralled my worn life
Places I remembered were
forever, not always for better.
As I looked at my life reflected
Wasn't sure which way was up
or which way was down - past
friends and lovers couldn't help.
The aforementioned all had their
places, had their moments; some
were gone, others remained - with
the light reflected, I still could recall.
But in the shadows were hidden the
dead - even though I loved them, I
chose to forget, they were no longer
among the living; I could hear their cries.
Then began the lies when they rose
from their graves - "Don't worry, there
is no one living that compares with you!"
Didn't work; my father just sighed.
He pointed out the Family Tree that
stood all alone - "If it wasn't for them
and me, you wouldn't be here!" Almost
starting crying; he said, "Get a grip!"
"It will all begin to make perfect sense
once you look at it from the right
perspective;" "The light coming down is
from Heaven - learn to catch its' rays!"
I thanked my dad - gave him one last
hug and told him as he walked away
"Now, I'll often stop and think about
those gone with an open mind!"

I enjoyed this look inside your poetic eye, the language of spirit is throughout the verse, and in many perspectives
like a soul expression in the earth bound rhealm, we can hear if we listen...
