The Eye of God



Looking out,
Down into the abyss,
Staring at the creatures,
Crawling on the earth…

What does he see,
When he stares at us?
I wonder what he must feel,
For his creations made of dust…

The Eye of God weeps,
In such sweet sorrow,
Wondering if we will ever follow,
The path he laid out for us,

They flew to the moon,
Expecting a hand to appear,
Almost wishing it would,
So they could prove he was real…

But all they found was a golden tear,
Flowing softly across the galaxy,
And heard the whispering of a deep voice,
In their hearts saying;
“You are not welcome here…”

Like chastised children we returned home,
Leaving the dead God dancing alone,
In a sea of stars so vast,
Mankind understanding at last,

We are not alone!
NASA saw this in the heavens,
And named it;
The Eye of God…

He is watching all we do,
He is watching YOU!
Do you see him?
Do you believe now,
That he hears your prayers,
Crying out to him in the dark?

Look into the night sky,
In the east where the star once fell to earth,
And led the way for all to be saved,
How can you savor the beauty all around you,
And not see God’s Eye watching too?
