The words come from visions I see,
The tiny blue flower struggling to grow in a sea
Of brown and ugly weeds,
The world around me,
Inspires such thoughts!
The sadness in the smile of a child,
Can make the pages weep,
The love a Knight has for his Queen,
Will bring forth such poetry-
Syllables blacken the white screen,
churning up the receptacle of sand.
The words flow from my hand,
To imprint the page with symbols,
That many understand...
Thus I do not stand alone,
A thousand poets stand behind me,
A thousand more in front,
And we seek to find relief,
From the need to create,
Images formed by words,
Creating a door way into our heart!
I read the words that you bleed,
Staining the page of your life,
Sometimes touched by your thoughts,
To the point of tears-
Or smile thinking of your beauty,
Hidden in the lines of thoughtful prose...
Dear Poet,
Sublime writer of the soul,
I am reading your poetry,
Still...

I especially like this:
"Thus I do not stand alone,
A thousand poets stand behind me,
A thousand more in front,
And we seek to find relief,
From the need to create,
Images formed by words,
Creating a door way into our heart!"
This is beautiful work, Reindeer.
Thank you,
Tami

Retta,
Absolutely Incredible. I love reading your poetry. Outstanding.
"I read the words that you bleed,
Staining the page of your life,"
These words do have a darker Gothic feel about them. Perhaps you might want to try your hand writing something darker. Just a thought...
