Poem Artwork

Darkness descending,
Wrapping me in its sweet shoulders,
Surrounding me with soft blackness,
Blinding me to the world,
To you…

Sweet silence,
Deaf here,
In my world,
Numb too,
Don’t feel a thing,
I need that,
Not to feel,
Don’t want to believe,
You were ever real…

Crashing,
Bleeding,
Feels so good,
To touch my skin with steel,
I know you don’t understand,
And that’s okay,
Cause I do…
I do…

Wish I could bleed away this pain,
Making me feel so insane,
Where I keep hearing the whispered lies,
You told to me so many nights,
Laying in your arms,
Tracing your lips with my fingertips…

I trace them now,
With steel,
And the skin parts,
Looking so unreal…

I’ll draw you pretty pictures,
Like I often do…
Hope you like the color red,
It’s the only the color I have,
Hey quit crying,
It’s better than being dead…
