Just Breathe

Lost in the dark,
And I think of you,
Above me,
Near the light,
Eyes shinning in the dark…

There is no air here,
Suffocating,
Nothing to inhale,
Then I hear you whisper,
Somewhere near,
“Just breathe,
I am here…”

Shadows closing in,
Feeling like,
This is the end,
Not fighting it,
Not anymore,
Too dark,
Can’t see,
Then I hear you whisper;
“Think of me…

Trying baby,
Trying so hard,
Trying to just breathe…

Dark castles and storm clouds can never keep me from you. I shall light your night with sceptre of love. Fear not, for your breath is life to me, and my heart is now owned by your soul. Retta, you have such splendid imagery. Wow! I am definitely taken in by this! -- Jeff

"Just Breathe..." sounds esoteric, despite its clear closing lines.

A stimulating and thoughts' developer poem, I have enjoyed.
