How do you say goodbye?

To Valerie

Beauty walks in many shoes
Your smile appears in many hues
Delightful, teasing
Always pleasing
Beauty becomes you so.
 
You graced our screens
With charm and style
Your laugh
Your sparkle
So real, so true .
 
You gave us a lasting affair
Of the heart
So certain and insist- able
So deliciously irresistible
And that smile…
 
How can we say goodbye
When you always
Said Hello
With the warmth
Of an angel?
 
You touched our hearts
You stirred our souls
Sincerity does that
When it’s wrapped
In Love.
 
When tragedy strikes
Some ask why me?
Only the angels
Dare to reply…
Why not me?

Unfortunately the worst often happens to the best people. Sometimes we are left to wonder and make sure the memories don't die out.

Thank you for this wonderful tribute to one of TV's most loved stars. Why Lance Armstrong can escape brain cancer and she cannot is a mystery to me. Let us hope there'll be some miracle and Valerie will live much longer than predicted.

A wonderful tribute to a fitting woman. I'm afraid I don't know who Valerie is but whoever she is, she would be honoured that this was written about her.
