Those scanning advertisements in Philadelphia for the next performance by the self-styled concert poet and jazz clarinetist Toussaint St. Negritude may be surprised to learn that, true to his modern wandering troubadour nature, St. Negritude has departed the City of Brotherly Love for the giant redwoods and symphonic surf of Northern California.  In a recent, albeit brief, telephone interview with the enigmatic St. Negritude, the performance artist confirmed that he left Philadelphia in June. He is currently gleaning much inspiration from the ancient redwoods and songs of whales for his next CD.
