If aboration had never been legalized, I have to wonder where we would find jobs for all of those people that would have been born. Even now there is still unemployment. I can't say I'm in favor of abortion, but I do believe a woman should have that right.
I appreciate that you are a deep thinking man Michael but the babies who have been conceived through no choice of their own have no choice in their untimely deaths. Abortion kills the baby and emotionally damages the mother. God who made this earth and the children I believe would somehow manage a way for them to have a life. The same sort of thing happened with the Vietnam war when politicians felt the population needed to be decreased and the young people who would be competing for jobs needed their numbers thinned. I appreciated your honest thoughts even though I cannot agree with them.
Human society has the ability to take care of all of us and provide all of us with good food, safe housing, health care and education. Even the disabled could be taken care of and contribute to society. But we have an outdated economic system that says none of us are valuable except the greedy rich and powerful. Abortion becomes necessary to women in a society that gives women very little help in raising children. We need to build a better world. Stop greed and excess.
I agree. The woman has to bear the primary care of the child, even though some men are very good fathers and can take on nearly any task that a woman would do.

Abortion is a legitimate tool for reducing the number of children a woman may want to have. It is very selfish to think that they should be born into poverty, disease, starvation and suffering.
Finally, I am disabled and have encountered many severely disabled, at birth, young adults who after they were born were either rejected by their parents, or their parents just couldn't take care of them for all their physical needs. Most of them are on inadequate state support and suffer. They spend their lives begging for help. It would be much kinder to either correct their defects before they are born, or not allow the pregnancy to continue.
