As I recall you said this once before. But you are too witty, too charming, too funny, and too much fun to just stop. It's in your blood and in your guts and in your head and in your butt(s). Besides, you are too damned young to just up and stop. I never tire of looking at the butt crack on that ornery kid on your book cover. It reminds me again and again that there is one sane comic writer out there who knows what the hell he's doing with a pen in his hand.
Mike, how dare you leave these hallowed halls, though I certainly can't blame you, what with the prices of everything going up. It's better to eat than to spend the same money here. But Mike I will miss your humor, maybe you could pass it on to me, I'd appreciate it and I know other readers would too...take with you of mine whatever you want, you are both welcome to it, and if willing to take it, are crazier than I ever thought you were...-Ed-
I’m so sorry to hear you are leaving AD. Since I first discovered your postings, I have been a faithful reader. So many times after reading your poems, I would enjoy reading them a second time by reading them to my wife. By doing this time and again, you have added much laughter and enjoyment of life for two elderly people. I don’t know how well you performed in school, but having taught thirty years, I can detect that you probably did well. I also have the sensation that you were well behaved. No, Michael, I don’t think I have misjudged you. Finally, I want to thank you for all the comments you made on my postings. Unlike some, you always had something kind to say. And for that I shall be forever grateful. I have always felt that it’s just as easy to say something nice to a person as it is to say something negative. With that thought, I bid you farewell, and I certainly wish you, Michael D. Schafer, the best God has to offer.😥

So sorry to hear that you will be leaving AD, a kind of death even if you didn't die. You and your unique humor will be missed. Perhaps it is time to "take stock" as well. The place will no longer seem the same with so many people gone. Keep well and stay well.
