Toni moves to Seattle from a small town in California to start a new job at a technology company. Melanie is her eleven year old daughter, who has to adjust to the move. Toni and Melanie befriend Joanie and her children through Victor, who becomes Toni's husband. After a tragedy hits one of Joanie's children, they have to come together in love to keep each other strong is this upcoming novel of love and grace.
Excerpt from Chapter 1:
The drive to the city would take about half a day stopping on the way at a motel to rest. Toni had always been a determined individual, self-sufficient, and presently, a single mother. The thought of the big city with a good job meant a great deal to Toni. Melanie, on the other hand, was a reserved girl and wannabe teenager with light brown hair and eyes. She cared only about her friends and surroundings and did not want change. .
