On March 26 and 27, I participated in a program sponsored by Booklockerbooks.com titled "Meet the Author." Along with two other authors, Linda Meckler--who is also on AuthorsDen.com--and Len Harris, we had the opportunity to address the studens in four different schools in an attempt to spark their interest in the literary arts. They had many questions about our books as well as inquiries on how we go about developing our stories, character development, how to publish, etc. I was pleasantly surprised with how well we were received on our visits, and how intrigued the students were by our works. If you ever have the opportunity to address a student body about reading and writing, or even just one class, I would highly recommend you take it. Not only is it a chance to encourage the authors of tomorrow, it is rewarding to know that you may be making a difference in a youngster's life.
