Bits and pieces. The NFL draft concluded today. My team the New York Giants had seven selections and picked six on the defensive side of the ball. To me there most glaring need is the mike position, or the middle linebacker if you will. They did draft a player who is a cornhusker from Nebraska. While I admit Nebraska is one of my favorite sights, because one of my favorite people does live there. I do not even fathom how good the player will be.
They have four other players who play that position. So it will be a royal battle of five who will compete for the start there. Only time will tell. On one more sports item Tim Lincecum has now won his first four starts. Is it possible he will win his third straight Cy Young award? For those who do not know the Cy Young award goes to the league best pitcher.
On another and for me a very important matter I just finished writing and posting The Big Cat Returns. I hope it is not to childish as I meant it to be science fiction. I am writing more short stories because I am going to attempt to write a novel. By writing short stories it gives me practice to write one long one. I do not want to write of the present because lets face it I am getting old. However I did have some exciting things happen to me when I was a young man, so I will probably turn back the clock,
One more thing I tried once more to reach out to Linda, to no avail. That is it. You cannot force anybody to be friends with you. I mean she is not in her forties. She is 62 years old! So I am going to pass her by. I hope she lives the rest of her life in peace.
I have a poem coming up tomorrow but as of now I have no ideas on the subject matter.
