al-Zarqawi will be sorely Missed 6/8/2006 12:55:48 PM
Today, US has lost a very important offspring. In the death of al-Zarqawi the Pentagon has lost a very convenient ally in the war on “Terror”. All the while FOX News, CNN and the rest of the garrulous machines cling clang about the brilliant antics and exploits needed to catch the civilized world’s most wanted scapegoat. Al-Zaqrawi’s sudden departure will be equally mourned and toasted by his not so holy manufacturers in the White House. (I always wondered why we Muslims never even whisper about old Sharon’s incapacitation though we could have said plenty about that and what transpired before that, but that’s altogether beside the point).
Incidentally, the world would probably never have heard of al Zarqawi had the US not attacked Iraq on the false premises that there were WMD. Instead the closest they ever came to deadly weaponry were perhaps what they found between Saddam’s mollars…remnants of the deadly drugs administered to a former “offspring” before captivity.
America’s assault on Iraq as we all know was Illegal even though the term illegal has of late become synonymous with the-warrant-to-invade-other people's lands-even-if-not-permitted.
As the saying goes, necessity is truly a mother of invention. Why al Zarqawi was signaled out of the many concerned Arabs and Iraqis who honestly were/are not happy with the foreign occupation of their lands is perhaps a point to ponder.
Now that al Zarqawi is no more the US needs to act quickly and come up with a new “baby” to make American tax payers forget about their country’s illicit occupation of a nation they so horribly despoiled.
Needless to say, because he was such a favorable child of the US, al Zarqawi was ultimately spared the humiliation of his not so lucky fellow Arabs in Abu Ghuraib. His family must be very happy about the outcome. A clean murder even if executed by your own “dad” is for some more preferable than what transpired in Abu Ghuraib prison...
