Royalty statement can be a killer! 2/28/2011 8:12:07 AM
Hi ya buds, How goes things with you this Monday morning? I hope you had lots of fun over the wekend and got plenty of rest.
My weekend was going great until I was handed an email regrding my royalty statement. When I read it I sat dwon and cried. Not to mention my blood pressure going off the charts. I spent most of Sunday in bed feeling sorry for myself. Then I thought, Hey Fern, how many people can say that they had a book published and it is on the web (350). That is a great accomplishment. I just wish that there was a way for Authors like myself without the services of a good PR man could track sales of their books.
This is one of the reasons I went with Amazon Kindle for "Continuum Dust Carried on the Wind" book 2 Kindle edition. 1. The price is right and 2. whenever a sale of your book, you know within a short period of time that it will show up on your record page. What a great morale builder.
