I reached a milestone today, having just posted my 100th poem on authorsden. I only began writing poetry last Spring after years trying to perfect my writing style through the medium of the non-fiction essay. To be honest, I was never much interested in poetry and especially never felt the urge to write a poem. But all that changed on day last Spring when, for some reason only God knows why, I wrote my first poem. I have written just under 200 poems, 100 of them have now been posted on this site. I am gathering a collection of the best poem to be published at the start of the new year. Nice way to begin 2016. The collection will be entitled "Somewhere a Flower Blooms".
