I reached 30,000 words last night! I am so thrilled. NaNo is a totally different way of writing for me, but it seems to be working.
The best thing about NaNo for me is that it shows me that I can write any time. If I can find the time now to write, with my 4 mo. old daughter (and not take any time away from her), I can really write any time. If I hadn't taken on NaNo, I might not have written for a long time.
I think I have taken on the difficult task of writing a novel, and put that into a one-month deadline, which is a major crunching of creativity into time but this may be the perfect way to write something wonderful and unexpected.
