Bad Movie Day

The bad movie trifecta.

Last Sunday I was flipping around the tube, looking for a movie. A laugh, a scare. Something that makes me think. Anything. This is what I was looking for, I believe it is the worse movie selection of all time. Embarassed a little, but also a little proud, I give you the bad movie trifecta...

Reno 911 - Miami
In hind sight, flipping around the channels and giving this movie a shot would not be the crime of the century. Utilizing my On Demand function and searching this movie out could be a sympton of insanity. Considering I have never watched the show on Comedy Central it was a gamble to say the least. There is nothing to even discuss about this movie.
GRADE: F

Metro
So, for my next movie adventure I went a step further and paid 2.99 for Metro. Being an old school Eddie Murphy fan how could I lose. Beverily Hills Cop and 48 hours are still in my top ten comedies today. This movie was awful. Apparently Murphy decided to combine all of his movies . First, the white partner (48 hours), the dead on shot cop with a cocky attitude (Berverly Hills Cop), and the girl who acted just well enough to be annoying (Boomerang). Yes, it was just like all three of these movies once you remove the suspense, interesting plot, and anything remotely funny.
GRADE: F

Holidays
Two women switch houses (one in L.A., the other outside of London) and hilarity ensues..well, not exactly. This movie particularly bothered me, and that may be because it was the only one of the three I didn't shut off with less than 30 minutes to the end. As I type this I'm pounding the keys hard out of anger so I'll keep this short and sweet, my three observations on this movie: 1. Cameron Diaz trying to cry throughout the movie, then once she cries realizes that it's because she's found the love of her life? Most unrealistic story line ever. Ever. 2. Jack Black plays his worse character yet. Think about that. Think long and hard about Nacho Libre. Yes, it is that bad. 3. The only fitting ending for this movie was to have the unlikeable character (which is funny because to me they were all unlikeable) "Jasper" standing outside the picture window as the new stupid looking couples dance together with the kids. Oh yeah, the character...oh wait, I said only three...
GRADE: F
