Today is a very strange day. Sadly, I reflect on the loss of our son who died this year . . . Thinking can made the sadness unbearable. I decide to divert and turn on my computer and see what new is going on . . . There across my screen is news of the execution of Saddam Hussein. How I wish our son could have had his breaths that have now been extinguished. I have no desire to think about Saddam and turn off the computer. Outside I go with my cappuccino, stretching out on a chaise lounge by the pool, I relax, that is until I see the huge United States of America plane carrying President Gerald Ford's body fly close to the ground because it just left Palm Springs International Airport in route to the Capitol. My head is full of a kaleidoscope of thoughts and feelings about death. One death cut too short by cancer, one extinguished by man for injustice, and one terminating after an extraordinary and honorable long life. This is a ending of a very sad year. I just believe in a better tomorrow. Today is a very strange day.
