One book, two genres... 10/23/2006 5:22:22 AM
Well, I've spent the last few days looking and I cannot find any way to list the same book under two different genres without actually entering the book twice. Soooo...I have "two titles" listed.
I have never found life easy to categorize, and my writing is the same way. I love a lot of genres, authors, and styles. "Touch of Fate" is most accuratley called a paranormal suspense, which is to say that it is a mystery/suspense novel with elements of the strange and supernatural. In terms of fantasy, it is a modern fantasy of the type I have heard called magical realism...that is to say the magic occurs in a hidden way in the real world in such a way as to suggest that maybe it really does exist.
I have also heard of this kind of thing being listed under science fiction, but I'm not about to put the book in three times!
Regardless of what category you put it in, I think this novel has a little something for everyone. Hopefully soon, reviewers will weigh in too.
