Can you help Tracy Morter raise £100k for the British charity Shelter?
Tracy Morter recently helped make history when she and her DJ husband Jon started a campaign to change the monotony of the UK's Christmas chart toppers. For four years we've had that year's winner of the same contest secure the Christmas number one with a shmalzy saccharine ballad. This year was different - we created a little bit of history and toppled the charts with a rebellious little ditty from 1992. The achievement was all the more surprising because the song had not been re-released, people just found it online and downloaded it to get it to number 1.
Tracy decided that some lasting good should come out of the campaign and so she started a donations page for Shelter.
Over the Christmas period over £90,000 was raised and the fundraising has been ongoing. On Monday 1st February 2010, a date that happens to be a palindrome when written in figures 01022010, we've organised a donations surge, asking people for just £2 to boost that figure to £100,000.
Shelter is a British charity that supports homeless and vulnerably housed people to try and get them a secure and safe place to live.
