my thoughts on internet bullying and daily abuse Hello friends,
In a time where the internet is a way of communication one couldn’t possibly be without, we seem to run into an ever growing problem: internet bullying.
For a while it seemed that mostly children at school age got victimized from the other side of a peer’s computer screen. But that is not the case anymore. Through several blog sites I have trafficked quiet frequently I learned that adults are targeted in growing numbers. I’m sure that many of you readers and especially writers have experienced the same problem. Maybe not necessarily here, for I believe Den members are mostly good hearted poets, but most certainly on other topic related websites.
They tell us authors that we need to be out there – blogging - to distribute the word about 'our word'. But how much blogging is necessary to archive the desired effect? Also, how much abuse am I willing to take in exchange of gaining a new member for my (relatively small) audience?
My answer is: None at all!
For my own personal sake and dignity I will restrict my blogging traffic to my own blog page and the occasional “what’s on my mind” here at the Den. The rest of the world, I’m sure, won’t miss me at all.
