My friend Jimmy Jimmy and I worked together 25 years ago in a traveling honky-tonk band in Texas. We became fast friends as we were from the same home town. Jimmy was much younger, so I sort of watched out for him. I didn't want him to get into some of the things that are placed in front of traveling musicians that may cause them harm in the long run. We lost touch after working together for several years until he called today. He was looking for material at Authors Den on Combat PTSD. My friend, whom I have thought about often during the years, is a psychologist with the VA. He saw my book and "nearly fell out of his chair". Not because of the book but because we had both pursued PhDs in Psychology. My friend has found his place in life and is doing well. God knows what he is doing.
