Those that work today should be thankful in this frightening economy, however, far too many employed work to receive only a paycheck, when there is so much more to it. So many of us that "punch the time clock", find little fulfillment in our work. Those that do (the very few without ulterior, self-gaining motives), awaken refreshed and ready to go, while most prefer covering their heads with blankets after the alarm jarringly reminds one, it is a new day. Those that are self-employed or in the arts/entertainment media are the people that appear to truly find tremendous satisfaction in their jobs. And it involves ambition and hard labor. If you do not love what you are doing, then it is time rethink and find a profession that will bring you joy. We spend so much of our lives working, is it worth the many years until retirement only to receive nothing special but platitudes and a gold watch? This is anti-life, not the fulfillment that allows creativity and imagination to flow like a free-running stream or river. Check your premises. You may have to sacrifice a great deal, but there is always time and place for everything. Satisfaction could be around the corner if you look carefully. We are here but once. Why not make it something that validates our brief existence on this mortal plain. You may not touch millions, but if you have been responsible for changing one person, then the life path is worth the long walk.
