I believe a bad review is better than "no" review. But let's keep it in context of what we are reading, please. I think the majority of the writers/illustrators/artists are struggling in this chosen field. Some have succeeded and I wish them well. When we post a poem, article, story--an inspirational piece or something close to your heart, you wait for the reviews. Sometimes you come up with a blank and then there is that "bad" review. We have to have tough hides to survive in this difficult business--and it IS a "business", but this site is to help promote and support the writer--not to tear them down. Disagree with an opinion? No problem, we are all different. But let's keep the personal swipes out of our reviews, particularly if you do not know the person who wrote the piece you are reviewing.
This volatile economy has added to the problems of getting our work "out there". We need to stick together and remember what this site is about. And that doesn't include abuse!
I appreciate everyone who has reviewed my postings, visited my site. You have made my AD experience worthwhile.
