No one knows for sure what is going to happen with the gigantic oil spill that is now threatening the Gulf Coast. But the oil rig that caused the devastation is only one....there are 399 more of them out there! This must stop!!!! We have to find other sources .... the oil isn't going to last anyway...it's a dying resource! And The Oceans Scream
She weeps black tears that destroy
Every living thing they touch.
In her agony, she writhes
Rolling, restless, bewildered!
She has always nurtured them,
Yet they seek to destroy her.
And she is like a helpless child.
Defenceless, she cannot defy them
For they are obsessed with greed,
And will stop at nothing to ensure
Their cups overfloweth!
They have defiled her, raped her,
And beaten her consistently
With a growing intensity.
Yet for these atrocities,
There are no consequences!
But inevitably she will have her revenge,
For what will be left
When she has succumbed to their torture?
What good will wealth be
If they cannot breathe the air;
Food supplies disappear;
And they cannot quench their thirst,
For the water is poison;
The beautiful oceans that surround us,
Belong to every single creature
That inhabits our struggling planet!
What right do they have to destroy,
That which was never theirs alone?
It is up to all of us to stop them,
Before it is too late!
Voices raised in unison
Can be deafening to those
Who do not hear our oceans’ scream!
