North Words Book Signing

Yesterday, I took part in a book signing event called North Words. It took place in the town of Huntsville, Ontario, Canada, where a number of local Muskoka authors presented their books for selling and signing.

As often happens, there were lots of books and eager authors but not many visitors, and, consequently, not many sales.

However, I did sell one book, a copy of Glorious Autumn Days: Meditations for the Wisdom Years. This was late on in the event, but I perked up considerably after this one sale.

It is always disappointing when one doesn't sell many books at these sort of events; but I believe that even if no books are sold it is not time wasted as one meets new people. It broadens one's network of fellow writers, contacts and friends; and it does get one's name and face out there.

Even with only one book sold, it is one more than the day before and one more person reading one's words and hopefully benefiting that person with one's words.
