Most people I meet ask the big question. What made you write this book? I was inspired to write my second book "God's Grace and Mercy" by a true event. While I stayed with my brother at Fort Hood, Texas, I met a young couple who were friends of my brother and his wife. The young man was immature, young and foolish. His wife was obedient to all he asked, right or wrong. She seem not to be able to think for herself. He asked her something very foolish and dangerous to do and she did it. Afterwards he laughed about it and she was terrified. My sister-in-law and I went to her defense and talked to her as older sisters might. I don't know if things ever changed between them. Years later I began to write a story centered around that young girl. In my story my character, Mariah Turner rallies and pulls away from her abusing husband. She realizes the differences between real love and no love.
