Hope everyone's day is going okay!

I've just uploaded the finished version of my book cover for Devynn's Dilemma. Finally found the images I wanted in silhouette form. I've been told the cover is a good one, so I'm happy. Practice does make perfect . . . or at least a little more so. It's so hard finding stock images for some covers. That's why I use flowers and other props for my romances.

Also, I uploaded the revised copy of sample chapters here. And deleted the sample chapter from the other section just leaving the book's description and shorter summary.

Anyway, I'm one step closer to launching the book. I'm waiting on beta readers now to give me feedback. After I do another pass on the book if I have to do that, I'll be launching it soon after.

Can't wait for that! I am really happy with this story. Not that I'm not happy with all my other stories, but this is my first YA novel.

I've started to plan out the next book of the series. Tentatively, it's called simply Daveenna. She's Devynn's cousin whom shse's never met before as Davey was given away at birth although not by her mother. I won't give any more details of that part now. You'll find out how that happened if you read Devynn's story.

I'm thinking her adoptive parents are going to meet with an untimely demise and no one is going to want to take her or her siblings on. However, not wanting them to go into foster care, plus none of them want to be separated, they end up on her real parents doorstep.

Hmmm . . . even as I write this, I think that only she arrives at her parents' place. The other two kids will go into foster care and she will beg her parents to get them back. That might be the main focus of the story. Her real mom is going to be pregnant at the time, so Davey might think that her other siblings fate will be sealed, doomed forever to be locked in a system that doesn't always care about them.

Okay! Wow! Love coming in here and brainstorming!

I'm going to go and write this into my Brainstorming journal and start to work up characters and other plot points. Of course Devynn and her family will be major secondary figures in the story as well as Devynn's friends.

I already have a book cover started. Just have to do some graphic eding and find a couple other images to go with what I have. I'm going to have each book the same except, of course, for those all important images.

Woo hoo! This is going to be fun!
