People reading John 6:51-68, either quickly pass over the verses or decide Jesus was just speaking Symbolically or Metaphorically. I read John 6:51-68 and the only possible conclusion is the literal meaning of the Words of Jesus. Repeating His Words over and over again should be the first indication Jesus meant was He Said.
There were 400-600 Disciples present and found those Words very hard to understand. So much so that they all left Jesus. Imagine Jesus trying to start His Redemption Plan by building His Universal Church. The Disciples were the means to get the Word out. After they all left, Jesus turned to the 12 Apostles and asked if they would be leaving too. Certainly Jesus would not have let anyone leave if they were misunderstanding Him. But no, He let them all go, even to the point of letting the 12 Apostles go too.
Peter proclaimed, "to whom shall we go. You have the Words of Eternal Life".
I welcome all readers to chime in with their thoughts concerning John 6:51-68.
