Making our last decision and making it Count- My last blog centered on how many Christians read the Bible and reach so many different interpretations on the same verses! John 6:51-68 either has many interpretations or many just stay away from that troublesome part of the Bible.
In my mind, those verses may be the most critical for us to read and understand.
I now pose a question for all Christians. Project yourself on your last moments here on earth and you are presented with a question. There is a Catholic priest offering you the Holy Eucharist and a Prostestant minister offering the Last Supper to you. You can only choose one and it is safe to say they are not the same.
Which one would you decide to consume and why? For those that assume they are both the same thing need to reread John 6:51-68. The present day Last Supper Meal is a symbolic representation of the past. The Holy Eucharist is not symbolic. It is the most precious Gift we have today.
