This is a story about a young, unmarried girl about the age of 14 that, through no fault of her own, became pregnant and had to make a very important decision.

At such a young age, she really did not have the support of a family to rely on or a husband to care for her. Upon finding out she was pregnant, she decided it was best to leave her city and stay with her cousin until a decision was made as to how she can best deal and or cope with this dilemma. At 5 weeks pregnant, no one knew about the pregnancy, so the trip to her cousin made perfect sense to her.

The visit with her cousin was a very good idea since it resolved the issue of her family finding out about her condition and it gave her the freedom to try to focus on how she was going to resolve this problem.

Adoption was really a 2nd choice since she did not know many people and agencies were unknoown to her. Keeping the baby seemed very unpractical since, at 14, she really needed someone to take care of her. The only other option seemed to be abortion and she may have felt it was the only option left since the other two were both negative in her mind. Besides, at 5 weeks, many would have told her, it was too early to be a human and an abortion seemed to be a quick resolution to this problem.

After talking with her cousin and trying her very best to deal with this situation, abortion was also too negative a solution so she now had a worse problem. All three options seemed very wrong and yet a baby would have to be dealt with in 8 months.

The young girl decided to pray and ask God to help her make this decision.

Although this was a fictitious story, it may show many of us the only true decision that can be made. Keeping the baby was, in fact, the greatest RIGHT decision the young girl could have made. For you see, the baby's name was Jesus and the World would never have been the same had she chosen abortion.

By keeping the baby Jesus, He would grow up to Save all.people that believed in Him. By being Crucified and Dying on the Cross, He became the Greatest Sacrifice ever and resulted in the Salvation of the World.

Abortions are decided as the only option to resolve a problem every 30 seconds in the United States today. That is 2 a minute, 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. If someone sleeps for 6 hours, that amounts to 720 lost souls while they slept!
