Waffle House released and promoted Sam Mcleods book titled Big Appetite in early June of 2010 after author Jay M Horne released his book titled As The Waffle Burns in early January. 
Sam Mcleod is the nephew of one of the founders of the waffle house. 
Jay M Horne has been a 3rd shift cook for Waffle House 2 years all told. 
Jay M Horne published his manuscript, which was written from the perspective of the real world line cook and his customers, in January and extended copies to his peers and management at the local Waffle House in Marianna, FL.

Upon the release of McLeod's book and the Click here campaign launch, local Waffle House Management is instructed to terminate Author Jay M Horne, advancing on his first amendment rights. 
Sam Mcleod, Waffle houses favorite nephew apparently throw's a fit upon finding a lowly 3rd shift cook has beat him to the punch so to speak. As The Waffle Burns is chock full of jokes and pictures of unruly customers and their antics, not the serene place upper management would have us believe they are.

Anyone in their right mind knows that when you go to Waffle House on a Saturday night around midnight, you had better expect some drunks. Sam McLeod and Jay M Horne's books sit side-by-side on the shelf complimenting each other as polar opposites. One showing the Southern Warm and cozy Grandma and Grandpa diner, and the other exploiting the hilarious antics such as Kid Rock getting into a fist fight at Waffle House. 
Author Jay M Horne, apparently sought legal advice from his editor and was advised to contact his local EEOC.
