I'll Love You in my Dreams

How is it in this crowded world
That I should be alone
Living life from day to day
No one to call my own

I have waited for so long for you
Forever so it seems
Tonight I’ll close my eyes alone
And love you in my dreams

When I close my eyes I see you
With your pretty eyes of green
Your hair down to your shoulders
Adorned with satin sheen

I feel your tender hand in mine
As we walk beside some stream
I can hear you say you love me
As I love you in my dreams

The feelings that I have for you
Like none I’ve felt before
You are everything I’ve dreamed about
How could I ask for more?

I know you’re out there somewhere
And I know you’re lonely too
I wonder if you dream of me
The way I dream of you

Until the day should come
I truly see your eyes of green
I will close my eyes each night
Where I will love you in my dreams
