She Beckons

He sits along the shoreline As he gazes out to sea The ocean still reminds him Of the way things used to be It was here that he first met her It was here she went away He has never been the man he was Since that fateful day Each day along the ocean They would frolic in the sand Each night they watched the sunset As they held each other�s hand The two of them bound by a love That grows with every day But then one day while he was gone The sea took her away At night now in the darkness On the rocks along the sea He sits and listens for her And recalls each memory Then sometimes as he listens He can hear her tender voice The whispers of an angel Piercing through the ocean�s noise From somewhere in the mist she calls As if to show the way She beckons him to be with her Where together they would stay Then one night where the land meets sea His pain came to an end And now they are forever Back together once again If you should take a seashell And hold it to your ear If you listen very carefully The ocean you will hear Or could it be a song of love That echoes from the shell A love between two spirits That beneath the ocean dwell. � Jack Roberts � November 13, 2003

This sounds like it could be a part two..to my poem...The Spirit turns to stone!!!!

Not to be vain...but but but...lol is it??????

I just love this....its wonderful!!!!!!
I have to show this to my daughter because she keeps bugging me to write a part two to my poem! lol...do you want to try a collaboration sometime on a poem???
