Haunted Haunted by a tender voice That beckons from the past A love that ended way to soon A love that couldn’t last He looks back and reflects upon Her every spoken word And in his mind the words she spoke Forever will be heard Her whispered tender words of love Would melt the hardest heart His love for her still burns inside Though now they are apart Perhaps before his days are through The pain will ease at last Though he’ll always hear that tender voice That echo’s from the past Jack Roberts – January 21, 2004

This is so sad, Jack, but so beautifully written. Losing loved ones, of any kind, is always very difficult.
Well expressed and very heartfelt. I can tell you put some deep thoughts and emotions into this write.
