A poem about visiting the Great Wall of China, which includes pinyin
Zhong guo chang cheng Great wall Stands high In the hills Wanders over Lu Mu Crests Mist obscures Distant Sentinels Blows over Ming steps crenellations The omnipresent name He is not forgotten Even Here Mao Zedong A Chinese man Points out Big stone letters Spelled upon A far hillside Like Green River Mao Zedong Great zhong quo Huajia he Laoshi But neither he Nor Great Wall Can be seen From the moon To celebrate This xiao oversight I draw Wo hua Great Wall Translations from Chinese Zhong guo chang cheng = Chinese long castle/ great wall Lu Mu= green wood Mao Zedong =毛澤東 zhong quo = Chinese Huajia he Laoshi = artist and teacher Xiao = small Wo hua = I draw
