Transcendental Sonnet #1295: *Her Kiss* *The slanted sunshine of late afternoon* *Floods in my window and covers me now* *Here where I lay in the light of the moon* *Just hours ago this brightness warms my brow* *I lie here under five blankets and see* *It all go up come down and turn around* *And I turn with it here without a sound* *It seems to have nothing to do with me* *I cannot get warm as I watch the swarm* *Of life go on as if I never were* *Yet I was and am and would like to be* *Above all I would like to be with her* *When the sunshine touches my face like this* *I swear to you that I can feel her kiss* *+Steven Curtis Lance* *Copyright MMV*
