Golden man

by Elisabeth Barstowe — Read all 441 poems by Elisabeth Barstowe

Golden man
walking swiftly through life
With a master plan
forged by skillfull mind

Weaving dreams
in intricate patterns
What a fascinating
tapestry

Alluring brightness
flows effortlessly
It's magnetism
pulls us in

Mezmerising moments
gather like pearls on a string
In his presence
nightinggales sing

Rainbows end
is at his feet
Still in swift pursuit
he's walking

That pot of gold
is a heavy burden
For one
to carry

Golden man
stop walking
Let events take place
in front of you

Let those dreams
and intricate patterns
Unfold it's tapestry
where you belong

Let phoenix try
her golden wings
Halt alluring brightness
she will have to run no more

And let those mezmerising moments
gather like pearls on a string
For you Golden man
a rare nightinggale will sing

Rainbows end
is at your feet
now claim
your pot of Gold

For it is
a heavy burden
For one
to carry
