Captured Heart

by Elisabeth Barstowe — Read all 441 poems by Elisabeth Barstowe

Tuesday, April 13, 2010

Beat now, captured heart,
higher than ever before,
your world is no longer torn apart,
you will shine forever more.

Run with the wind, fly free,
towards ultimate freedom,
for now you have found that the key
lies locked in twosome.

The fire the glory,
the passion unmatched,
as you write your lovers' story
and revel in your catch.

Rise frome the ashes like phoenix and fly,
soar wild and free on supported wings,
let your heart touch the sky,
take hold of your fate and seal it with rings.

Forever more in perfect unity
ascending to the heavens above,
swoon in blissful purity
bathe in glorious love.

ambrosia to the ears of all of us who have been properly jilted in our lives -- it seems to portend longevity to love -- a fact only time can properly take the measure of -- a very fine poem my friend -- peace and love be with you -- Jon Michael

...never quite been there, though I believe it's a great ambition. Nevertheless, everyday my love is better grounded, and for me, that's a good place to be. Some day though we'll get there. Some day... --Charlie
