Poem Artwork

 Amidst the rot and decay
lies the dark and the beautiful
The wonders in wich
I dwell in delight

Colors splattered across
the dying leaf
So full of  joy
it aches to the core
of my soul

Dancing with the shadows
Dancing in the mist
Oh dark days ahead
the light will not be missed

Dreary you might think
I say you fail to see
the beauty of the dark
that dances with me

All hail to the starlit sky
all hail to you and I
We dance in the same pace
we dance to the same rhyme
Summer make no haste
savor this darkened time

How beautiful your photo is, which enhances
your poem so well…
The dark time…a time to reflect,
and appreciate its unique beauty…
A lovely piece of writing…

I'm not sure if this was written for Halloween or autumn, or neither. It seems to fit in either case. And there seems to be a need for a time of reflection in the dark and dreary after being overly busy during the light and bright seasons before.
