Poem Artwork

The vessel in wich we travel

marked by lessons learned

tender feelings yearned.

In grey matter formed dreams

of two souls melting into one

Words formed into heart shaped

question marks traveling towards

it’s destination stealthy but steadfast

hoping to reach its home

before its gone

It seems like the rabbit hole

shrunk into a needles eye

through wich my clumsy attempts

of endearment cannot tread.

My heart feed my indulgent

Imagination oxygen so

that it can breathe while my

fingers are pouring out rainbows

onto paper.

I scratch my brain

until it bleeds

…… a rose for you

my darling….. a rose for you.

I stare upon fading memories

the ones to keep, to store

close to heart, to make

into art scribed on

brainstem to light

up the dark, to make it shine.

Then there are the ones

I let seep into

angry ink doodles upon

paper to be incinerated

……. and………..

charred by flames

……..they are……..

not… allowed … to remain.

Each day I stand before the altar

on which i serve my final offerings

My bleeding heart

My questionmark brain

My soul poured out to entertain.

Finality in perpendicular motion

to offer me before the sacrificial tree

while the clockhand is slowly ticking

into infinity, a sound reverberating

while death is closing in.

I may be like a tree with gnarled

branches, stretching out.

In disorderly array.

Sprawled across ages,

not anchored in time.

Swaying with the wind

odd and wild.

The soul that bleeds through

blinding with light

is existing solely for you.

...the "angry ink doodles on paper to be incinerated": one can only fervently wish you would hold on to the sweet memories...

Your readers surely commisserate. Everybody at some juncture despairs. Bon courage, Lady !

I think there is much more to you than "existing solely for you," unless you mean by "you" all of your readers out there in cyberspace gathering up your jewels of wisdom from your experience in poetry like this.

Your love for your readers comes from the pouring out of your heart and soul. Keep on giving and we will keep on learning.
