Veil before my eyes, I struggle to see
Moon at my feet, I try to set free
if only I held the key to depart
brazen eviction as we part.
Invisibility cloak over my shoulders
as I carry on pushing boulders
up the hill with no name
my head lost in the game.
Cyklops merry eye release
a chuckle , no ease
for the seemingly wicked;
a one way-ticket
to hell and back
sneaky shark-attack.
Hold on for dear life please
this raft be only on lease
scoot over the edge
I'll toss you a ledge
so you can stay afloat
after all
we could all be in the same boat.
Yesterday I thought I had no clue
now I found out that it's true
I'm still fine with things as they are
us floaters in lifes big stream
most of us share the same dream.
Love, companionship, happiness, peace
the simple things in life that set us at ease
I am touched by Fortuna, her soft hand
at the nape of my neck
yo ho ho all hands on deck
as we approach steady land.
Don't look back
lest the piranhas attack
Stay in one peace
pretty please
keep on inspire me
that's what you do, you see.
I didn't react to your in-between poems for the simple reason "confessional poems" don't do more than just parade one's emotions. In all languages (not excluding authorsden) trillions and centrillions of the kind/genre plague readers all over the world. The ONLY confessional type of poem which has a legitimate place in literature is the kind produced by those poets who are lamentably "politically" oppressed (which here read also as by Freemasons and the multi-faceted Churches).
Hidden talent, Lady Liz, in this surprising upper-cut with a "coup de poing américain". Kudos. TW.
