My Muse

by Elisabeth Barstowe — Read all 441 poems by Elisabeth Barstowe

Thursday, February 2, 2023

Looking into those sweet eyes
is like diving into my own soul
You're like my mirror reflection,
my twin.

What spell have you cast on me,
to make me need you this way?
Oh honey, baby, please say.

Y
ou purchased the key to my heart,
locked it to yours and threw away the key,
you have bound yourself to me.

I could get lost in

writing sweet  sweet doodles
for you all day..

A million words for you
describing the way
you pierced my inner core
through and through

It is always a big help if you are a poet to have a muse to inspire and a heart to compose with. Keep it up...
