Poem Artwork

Magnetism, drawn into the light,
beauty and shadowworld by its side

Bright beams, multicolored prism,
how I long, how I fear this prison.

Of love sent forth from no where,
I feel its gentle touch, always there.

Tracing my shape, invisible hands.
you, me, slowly in and out, and in again.

Dreamlover, flames rise higher,
under your spell, under your power.

Completely yours, until the light of dawn
reset my life, write the feelings you spawn.

Drawn to flames that take me higher,
forever lost inside your feverish fire.

Heart in hand, run towards feelings sublime,
this feverish wish to make you mine.

I feel soft, like cotton, over you,
this love although a dream, is true .

Awe, the dangers of possession, even when felt right. As eastern philosophy posits, the root of all unhappiness is attachment. Yet, love is possible without possession, without attachment. For its true self might very well be enough, i.e., love is a freedom of feeling and needs nothing more to be felt.

This ebbed and flowed like waves of rapture, love gently and violently crashing upon the waves of ecstasy. Sometimes a dream can reach the same heights. I really enjoyed this poem.
