The journey is on its way
by night and by day

There will be dreams and sorrow
to bring us a new tomorrow

Mending and stitches 
when hope hitches
a ride in our hearts

Glue together parts
thought to be lost
 at immense cost

Frostbitten souls
weigh in bowls
heartless scale
to even its sale

Can't have one without the other
Can't have only eachother

Trunks of bitter pills
chunks of steep hills
To darken the thrills
starkness in its chills

And what if the road never comes to an end?
how long can the pieces of us keep on mend?

How far can the traveler go
chasing illusive rainbow?
Never finding that gold
already bought and sold

While we are forever out in the cold
everything  the raven once crowed

And with the record set on rewind
we will always keep falling behind

Broken pieces and chards
blame it on the cards
They were not in our favor
Now where is our savior?

Within you my dear
you can quench 
that fear

You can spit out
that bitter pill
scream and shout

Don't let it hide 
in the dark
to dim your
bright spark

Don't let that 
steep hill
overtake you
See its thrill

Let the chills
cool you down
turn that frown
