One of a series of vacation-inspired poems, this one comes from a Fourth of July, 1986, stopover in Rockford, IL.
Along the river, Far from home, There by just a twist of fate. In the sky, the bombs Explode in the night To honor our country true , Strangers, friends, passers through, All beneath the red, white and blue. The sky lights up And for one night, There are no strangers in this land

A true poem inspired and pictured from emotions of soft heart observing humanity flowing.

That is exactly what humankind should exchange: Feast together and praise life.
