I see the sky above my head
Looking down upon me
What would it say if it could talk
What stories could it tell me
The sky has always been there
Seeing the evil that men do
The wars, the crime, the death
Long before the thought of you
Since time began and the waters ran
And the birth of flowers and trees
The sky has looked down upon
Feast, famine, and disease
Without choice the sky must see
There are no eyes to close
All of man's activities
The sky is forced to know
So when the sky gets angry
Or it cries its tears of rain
Think of what the sky has seen
All the things that's caused it pain

Wonderfully imaginative writing of the sky...as though it is capturing in video, the images of man on earth!
